Paid, project-based internships in applied AI.
Galang AI creates paid, project-based internship experiences where emerging talent can work on meaningful problems, learn how responsible AI operates in practice, and finish with an outcome worth explaining.
Openings are announced by cycle. An introduction does not replace a formal application when a role is posted.

The experience
An internship should produce something worth pointing to.
We treat early-career work like real work: scoped, supported, reviewed, and tied to a visible outcome. That means fewer filler tasks and more context about how good decisions get made.
Frame the problem
01Start with a real operating question, a clear project brief, named outcomes, and enough context to understand why the work matters.
Build with guidance
02Research, test, document, and make decisions with regular access to experienced operators, not a queue of disconnected busywork.
Present the work
03Finish with a usable deliverable, a clear recommendation, and feedback you can carry into your next project or interview.
Completed project record
University learning, applied to a live AI strategy problem.
In summer 2026, Galang AI hosted a University of Virginia student team through the AI4VA Career Academy and Riipen. The team completed an AI-driven organizational strategy project with research, prioritization, implementation recommendations, and a final presentation.

The recognition
Built to be useful for the intern, not only the employer.
Galang AI is a 2026 InternshipsVA Top Employer for Interns. Governor Abigail Spanberger and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership announced the award on October 1, 2026, and Galang AI received the Innovative Employer Award as one of 31 Northern Virginia honorees and a finalist for the statewide award.
It builds on the InVAluable Employer Partner designation from July 2026, which Galang AI earned after completing InternshipsVA training and scoring a perfect 50 out of 50 on the internship quality assessment. Read the award announcement.
Program commitments
Paid opportunities
Compensation and the expected commitment are stated in each role so candidates can make informed decisions.
Defined learning outcomes
Every experience connects real work to skills the intern can explain, demonstrate, and build on.
Consistent supervision
Interns know who owns the project, where to ask questions, and how progress and feedback will be handled.
Responsible AI practice
Source quality, data handling, human review, documentation, and the limits of AI are part of the work, not an afterthought.
Galang AI completed “An Employer's Guide to High-Quality Internships” training on July 23, 2026.

Internship FAQ
Role-specific details always live in the posting. These answers explain how the program is designed.
Are Galang AI internships paid?
Yes. Galang AI’s internship program is built around paid opportunities. Compensation, schedule, duration, and other role-specific details are stated in each posting.
Has Galang AI’s internship program won any awards?
Yes. Galang AI was named a 2026 InternshipsVA Top Employer for Interns and received the Innovative Employer Award, announced October 1, 2026 by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). It was one of 31 Northern Virginia (Region 7) honorees and a finalist for the statewide award. In July 2026 the program was also designated an InVAluable Employer Partner after scoring 50 out of 50 on the InternshipsVA quality assessment.
Is Galang AI accepting internship applications right now?
Openings are announced by cycle and may not always be active. You can introduce yourself by email, but an introduction is not a substitute for completing the formal application process when a role is posted.
What kind of work do interns do?
Projects may involve AI strategy, workflow automation, research, knowledge systems, data organization, evaluation, documentation, quality assurance, client communication, or presenting recommendations. The exact scope is defined before the experience begins.
Do I need to be an AI expert already?
Not for every role. We look for curiosity, reliable communication, strong judgment, and evidence that you can learn. Technical requirements vary by posting and are stated clearly when a role requires them.
Are internships remote, hybrid, or in person?
The format can vary by project and cycle. Each posting identifies the location, working format, expected hours, and any eligibility requirements so candidates know what to expect before applying.
Can a university or workforce program partner with Galang AI?
Yes. Galang AI welcomes conversations with colleges, universities, career academies, and workforce-development programs that want to create structured, project-based AI experiences for learners.
