Galang AI Earns SBA WOSB and EDWOSB Certifications, Expanding Federal Contracting Access
The U.S. Small Business Administration has certified Galang AI as both a Women-Owned Small Business and an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, making the company eligible to compete for qualifying federal opportunities reserved for program participants.

Galang AI announced today that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has certified GALANG, LLC as both a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and an Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), effective July 22, 2026.
The certifications confirm Galang AI’s eligibility to participate in the SBA Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program. Through the program, federal agencies may reserve qualifying opportunities for certified WOSBs and may further restrict eligible opportunities to certified EDWOSBs in industries where women-owned businesses are underrepresented.
For federal customers and prime contractors, the milestone creates a clearer path to engage Galang AI for artificial intelligence, cloud, automation, data, digital modernization, technical training, and related professional services while supporting small-business and supplier-diversity objectives.
“The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved the certification application of GALANG, LLC for the Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) program.”

Galang AI brings an operator-led delivery model to that work. The company embeds experienced practitioners close to the mission, workflow, users, data, and controls before it builds. Its capabilities include custom AI agents, secure knowledge and retrieval systems, intelligent process automation, enterprise AI integration, cloud and application modernization, AI media systems, managed AI operations, and governance for regulated environments.
The federal certifications build on Galang AI’s existing government-contracting readiness: active SAM.gov registration, CAGE code 171D2, UEI E2DJKXKLJR57, Virginia SWaM certification, and completion of a CMMC Level 1 self-assessment for baseline Federal Contract Information safeguards.
Galang AI is led by CEO & Co-Founder Ara Galang and President & Co-Founder James Galang. Ara brings executive experience across operations, administration, finance, human resources, technology systems, vendor management, and organizational governance. James leads AI strategy, solution design, and implementation. Their complementary experience shapes how Galang AI builds systems organizations can adopt, operate, and improve.
The SBA approval letter states that Galang AI’s first certification renewal is due July 22, 2029. The company will maintain its SAM.gov and SBA profiles, report material eligibility changes as required, and continue investing in the delivery systems, partnerships, and past performance needed to serve federal missions responsibly.
WOSB and EDWOSB certification establishes program eligibility; it is not a contract award, contract vehicle, guarantee of work, or SBA endorsement of every Galang AI service. Opportunities remain subject to applicable procurement rules, eligible NAICS codes, competition requirements, and individual acquisition decisions.
