Galang AI Becomes SBA Freedom 250 Small Business, Pledging to Build in America and Advance Responsible AI
Galang AI has taken the U.S. Small Business Administration's Freedom 250 Small Business Pledge, joining a national initiative that recognizes small businesses committed to building in America, supporting American workers, and carrying forward the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined the nation since 1776.
Galang AI announced today that it has taken the U.S. Small Business Administration's Freedom 250 Small Business Pledge and received an official SBA Freedom 250 certificate recognizing the company as a participating Freedom 250 Small Business.
The SBA's Freedom 250 initiative marks America's 250th anniversary by recognizing small businesses that commit to building in America, creating opportunity for American workers, advancing economic growth, investing in innovation, and upholding the entrepreneurial spirit that has shaped the country since 1776.
For Galang AI, the pledge is a direct reflection of how the company sees its role as a Virginia-based, woman-owned, minority-owned AI consultancy: helping organizations use new technology to strengthen the people, businesses, and communities already doing the work.
“The Freedom 250 pledge is meaningful because it connects where we came from with what we are building next. Galang AI is a small business helping other organizations use AI responsibly, compete more effectively, and keep people at the center of the work. That is the kind of American innovation we want to stand for.”
Ara Galang, co-founder of Galang AI
The official Freedom 250 pledge calls on participating small businesses to build and grow in America, create opportunity for American workers, advance prosperity and local investment, innovate for the future, and uphold free enterprise, risk-taking, resilience, liberty, and responsibility.
Galang AI brings that commitment into one of the most important economic transitions facing small businesses today: the shift from AI curiosity to practical, governed, useful adoption. As AI becomes part of every industry, small businesses need more than demos. They need trusted operators who can help them map real workflows, protect sensitive information, improve follow-up, reduce manual work, and make better decisions without losing human judgment.
The pledge also aligns with Galang AI’s own operating model. The company was built as an AI-native small business, using agents, automation, and AI-assisted workflows internally while helping clients apply the same discipline to customer support, sales operations, marketing systems, internal knowledge, compliance workflows, media production, and executive decision support.
Galang AI’s recent milestones reflect that broader commitment to credible, durable small-business growth. The company has earned Virginia SWaM certification, completed a CMMC Level 1 assessment, received 2026 SWaMmy Honors recognition, joined the Northern Virginia Technology Council and MOVE Chamber, and was approved as an AI services provider partner for Loudoun Economic Development’s Launch Loudoun program.
As a Freedom 250 Small Business, Galang AI is using the milestone to reinforce a simple position: American small businesses should not be left behind by the next generation of technology. They should be equipped to use it responsibly, competitively, and in ways that create lasting operational leverage.
Galang AI will continue working with local businesses, community organizations, government-adjacent teams, regulated organizations, and growth-stage operators that want AI systems grounded in real work, strong governance, and measurable outcomes.
